I really do appreciate them, I am just not good at keeping up with correspondence...or much else to tell the truth.
Deborah, When I am asked how long something took I say 'it depends...some pieces take longer...etc. I basically give a non-answer.
Judy, Try doing a wet felted painting and then stitch. Next time I'm asked, I think I'll mention the whole laundry list of unmentionables it takes to create a piece of art...and see what reaction I get from that! Have you ever thought about doing felt illustrations for a children's book? Your pictorial work would lend it self to that so well. Thank you for sharing your creative process. I hate it when people ask me how long a piece of work took. It's as if they think it's something you switch on and off like starting a piece of machinery, switching on a production line. They don't take into account the time it takes learning and experimenting, the failures and happy accidents that you accumulate before your artwork can percolate through you and arrive at the end of your fingertips.
Thanks, I really enjoyed reading about somebody elses tussles with mounting and framing, labelling and the hardest bit of all...pricing!
Well it's time I stopped procrastinating and dealt with that blank piece of prefelt.
Keep up the good work, Fi xMarmaladeRosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11248527809846840895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7750027613948090303.post-6013222290705638742014-02-03T10:18:48.915-05:002014-02-03T10:18:48.915-05:00Thank you for the lovely comment Shirley. :)Thank you for the lovely comment Shirley. :)Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03082375723196188296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7750027613948090303.post-19099491487507367432014-01-30T18:35:05.652-05:002014-01-30T18:35:05.652-05:00it is absolutely beautiful! thank you for sharing ...it is absolutely beautiful! thank you for sharing your process and the amazing results...ShirleyGoldenDoodleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17691958734838848387noreply@blogger.com
